Aromatherapy

The word aromatherapy was used for the first time by René Maurice Gattefosé (French chemist) in 1935. It is a therapy in alternative medicine and is not part of conventional medicine.

Aromatherapy has a power in which it helps promote relaxation and furthermore, produces feelings of happiness and tranquillity. Its effects are quick and long-lasting because they reach the deepest emotions of the person.

Aromatherapy acts on our sense of smell and using absorption into the blood stream. Approximately 15% of the air we inhale goes to the roof of the nose, where olfactory receptors transport the smells directly to a part of the brain called the limbic system.
